This conference presents the research carried out as part of the ANR WILDSILKS project (2020–2026) (ANR-19-CE27-0020). At the intersection of the social sciences (anthropology, history) and the life and materials sciences (entomology, biochemistry, conservation sciences), the event explores the diversity of so-called ‘wild’ silks at the level of substances (biochemistry), collections, and local knowledge and practices.
